   Laser In-Situ Keratomileusis (LASIK), is an exciting and advanced
laser procedure for correcting nearsighted, farsighted, and
astigmatic vision. The outpatient procedure is performed by a
trusted ophthalmologist for whom we co-manage.

LASIK is a fairly simple 3-step process. (1) The process begins with
an evaluation by our Optometrist at Planet Vision Eyecare. Our
Optometrist examines and measures and the shape of your eyes and
consults with you on whether or not you are a good candidate. This
consultation is free at Planet Vision Eyecare. The collected
information is entered into a computer and the laser center next
contacts the patient to schedule an outpatient procedure.

  (2) At the laser center, anesthetic eye drops are used to completely
numb the eye to ensure a pain-free procedure. The surgeon uses a
microtome to surgically create a tiny protective flap on the cornea,
and then the surgeon uses state-of-the-art laser technology to gently
reshape the cornea.   The flap is replaced and the tissue heals--no
stitches are necessary.

   (3) A follow-up exam is scheduled with the Optometrist. The
Optometrist examines the cornea and measures the patients vision
once again!
